My Purpose - Oracle of the Land

The Earth & Ancestors have been calling to me for some time now. Something ancient has been awakening inside of me. Some knowledge and wisdom that I must obtain and pass on before it’s too late.

I’ve been searching and evolving with each new thing I learn. Currently, I’m very drawn to my family roots of ancient Irish lore and back even further to the Proto-Indo Europeans. The later is calling to me something fierce.

This had led me to the organization Ár nDraíocht Féin: A Druid Fellowship or ADF for short. Although this is a big “organization” (I say that loosely), it’s made up of many small “groves.” I am a member of our local grove and have deepened my beliefs and personal practice and have awesome friends who are like family.

My family and I are about to start our new journey of homesteading on new land (new to us). This journey involves a deep relationship with the land – we are excited and a little terrified. Why didn’t we do this when we were younger?

I plan on using my newly found but ancient knowledge of my ancestors to have a deeply meaningful life on this land.

I believe that caring for the Earth and our well-being as humans is vitally intertwined. Over the centuries, since the world has become more and more industrialized, we have gotten so far away from the natural world and the vital lessons we obtain from the land.

This blog is about our family’s journey homesteading, relationship with the land, and a reminder of the vital lessons we obtain from the land to guide us in a happy satisfying life.
